Vanita Teachers Training Institute was founded by Smt.BhagirathibaiPuranikduring 1952.
Institute enlighten life of students by imparting valuable education. We are proud to say that this is the only institution which encourages Women’s education to empowerment.
Eminent writer Dr. .Jotsna Kamat recalls memories of Vanita Seva Samaj while working as lecture in Vanita teachers Training Institute.
It started as TCL to train the students as teachers and now with up-gradation of education policies we are imparting D.El.Ed course as per NCTE norms. To get an admission for D.El.Ed, one should pass P.U.C. in Arts, Commerce or Science.
Most of the students passed from this college are appointed in Government primary school, all over Karnataka. This reflects the quality of education imparting from our institution. As per the up-graduation of courses, even lectures qualification also up-graded as perNCTE norms. Now qualification ofLecture is M.A. M.Ed. and M.Sc. M.Ed.

೧೯೨೮ರಲ್ಲಿ ೩ ಜನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶ್ರೇಯೋಭಿವೃಧ್ಧಿ ಬಯಸುವ ಶ್ರಮಜೀವಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂತಹ ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೆಂದರೆ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಎನ್.ಬಿ.ಹಾವನೂರ, ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಗುರುಗಳು, ಶ್ರೀಯುತ.ಕೆ.ಎನ್.ಕಟ್ಟಿ , ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ಪ್ರೇಮಾ ಶಾನಭಾಗ. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ಶೋಭಾ.ಎನ್.ಮಳೇಬೆನ್ನೂರ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ಉಷಾ.ಎಮ್.ಬಾಳಂಬೀಡ ಇವರು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಗುರುಗಳಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ವ್ಹಿ.ಡಿ.ರೂಡಗಿ, ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಆರ್.ಕೆ.ಚೆನ್ನದಾಸರ, ಶ್ರೀಯುತ.ಎಚ್.ಎಮ್.ಲಮಾಣಿ. ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಎಮ್.ಎಸ್.ಮದ್ದರಕಿ ಗುರುಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ.ಎಮ್.ಬಿ.ಪೂಜಾರ ಗುರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಮಲಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಪುಷ್ಪಾ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗಟ್ಟಿಮಠ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಒಟ್ಟು ೦೮ ಜನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವನಿತಾ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಅನುದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಡುವ ಮೊದಲು ಹಲವಾರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಸ್ವ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಬಳವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಇಂದು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಸತಿ ನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನೆದು ಭಾವುಕರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮಾಯಿಯವರ ಮಾತು ಒಡನಾಟ, ಅವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಂತೋಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣಾ ರಾವ್ ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ವೈದ್ಯಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ಸುಮಂಗಲಾ ದಾಂಡೇವಾಲೆ ಇವರು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕಲಿತು ಬೆಳೆದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯಾಗಿ ವೇದ ಗಣಿತದ ಕ್ರಷ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
